With the CIN, each accommodation facility is easily identifiable by the competent authorities, countering irregular hospitality and promoting greater regulatory compliance. This code will be mandatory for all short-term rentals and must be displayed both outside the facility and in all online advertisements.
CIN: how to obtain it?
Obtaining the National Identification Code is simple but requires some mandatory steps. First, you must access the Accommodation Facilities Database (BDSR) through the Ministry of Tourism portal https://bdsr.ministeroturismo.gov.it/ using SPID or CIE. Subsequently, you must submit a complete application with a substitute declaration that includes the cadastral data of the property and the compliance of safety systems. If you already have a regional code, you can request conversion to the National Identification Code within 30 days of the national platform activation.

Absolutely yes. The National Identification Code is mandatory for all short-term rentals lasting less than 30 days. This means that every facility, whether managed by private individuals or professionals, must have the CIN and display it correctly. CIN: penalties and fines for those who have not requested it

Additionally, facilities that do not meet safety requirements, such as the presence of gas and carbon monoxide detectors, can be fined up to 6,000 euros. Fines for unregistered rentals can reach 10,000 euros.
Penalties will come into effect from January 2025, but it is essential that facility managers comply by November 2024 to avoid unpleasant surprises.
